Mary Beth Barber

Mary Beth Barber was born and raised in Indiana, Pa. She mostly does charcoal drawings with photo realism in mind, although she occasionally paints and dabbles in some other mediums. She currently works as a custom framer at Michael's arts and crafts store. She attended IUP as a Fine Arts major, but did not finish. She plans on going back in the near future because IUP was where she realized that she could do the realistic style drawings. She does photo realism because she is still kind of shocked that she can do it in the first place. She takes all of her own photos and works straight from the photo. She typically starts with the most detailed areas and works from there.

Mary Beth really captures the details of her photography in her drawings. She is truly a master with these outstanding skills. She draws with such perfection that it is hard to tell whether it's an actual black and white photo or an amazing drawing.
